Local and global trends, including increasing population and changing demographics, are reshaping communities and the way we live and work. From Sunday 12 May, Council will beasking everyone in the local community to ‘Have your say on our next ten years’, to help us develop a new Community Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2025-2035.

As part of this consultation, we are asking you to consider all aspects of North Sydney’s future, including:

Discussion Papers

To assist in the conversation, we have developed Discussion Papers for each of the areas for you to provide feedback through online surveys. Please note the Economic Development discussion paper will be available soon.

Council will also be hosting dedicated Community Forums for each of the areas at Hutley Hall, North Sydney Council’s Chambers, 200 Miller Street. At these forums, our community will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts who will provide insights and encourage evidence-based discussion about the future of North Sydney. The forums are free to attend but are ticketed due to room capacity. Please follow the link(s) below to secure your tickets:

Council will also be running additional workshops with First Nations residents, a demographically-selected group, our Disability Inclusion Committee, creative industry stakeholders, and young people.

The information collected through this consultation will help to identify the needs and aspirations of the North Sydney community over the next ten years and will be used to develop a strategy for each Discussion Paper focus area. These strategies will then be combined to develop Council’s new Community Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2025-2035 which will outline the shared vision for the future. The strategies will also inform Council’s future Delivery Programs, Operational Plans and Resourcing Strategies, to ensure that Council’s resources are focused on delivering the outcomes needed and wanted by the North Sydney community.
