West Street - Proposed Walking and Cycling Upgrades

Consultation has concluded

Feedback from the North Sydney community is that many more people would like to walk and cycle for day to day transport and will do so if safer, more accessible and more attractive paths are available. As part of Council’s response to this community demand, we have commenced a project to design walking and cycling improvements along West Street. The project will look at ways to improve and expand pedestrian areas, provide cycling paths that cater for people of all ages and cycling abilities, reduce vehicle speeds, and provide new areas of landscaping, seating and street trees.

Community Workshop - 22 February

Council is seeking community input into the design and is holding a stakeholder design workshop. The workshop will involve a series of activities, including a design exercise where participants produce their own designs for walking, cycling and landscaping along West Street. Council will use the materials produced during the workshop to inform the development of the design concepts for West Street, which will be publicly exhibited later this year.

Limited places available. Pre-registration is required. One person per household may register.
