Laycock Street - Feedback Form
Laycock Street, Neutral Bay has been nominated for the ‘street play’ program by members of the community.
The street play program involves temporarily transforming streets into public open spaces (‘temporary parks’) for kids to play and the community to enjoy.
Streets participating in the program will be temporarily closed to through traffic and/or have additional parking restrictions so that road space can be ‘opened for people’ (access to properties will be maintained through formal traffic control).
It is proposed to close Laycock Street from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday 8 November 2020 for a street play day. The street will be closed to through traffic from the intersection with Yeo Street and approx. 10 parking spaces around the centre of the street will be closed off/unavailable to allow space for ball games etc. Formal traffic control will be in place to allow resident access at this time; however, we would encourage residents to minimise trips during these times if possible as the ‘play’ activities will be taking place.
Use the form below to make comments about the proposal. If no significant issues are raised in response to the proposal, it will proceed as described above.
Temporary parking permits are potentially available to any residents impacted by the temporary closure. To enquire about this, or if you have any questions, comments or ideas that might enhance the day contact Council’s Sustainable Transport Project Coordinator on 9936 8251 or email lindsay.menday@northsydney.nsw.gov.au
