Consultation has concluded

Street Play pop-up events allow communities to use their streets as places to meet, connect, play, and to ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, young people and older adults.

Seven streets have been selected to participate in Street Play 2023. The streets and event dates include:

  • Colin Street, Cammeray on Sunday 2 April 2023
  • Selwyn Street, Wollstonecraft on Sunday 16 April 2023
  • Lytton Street, Cammeray (between Falcon Street and Lillis Street) on Sunday 23 April 2023
  • Burlington Street, Crows Nest (between Alexander Lane and West Street) on Sunday 30 April 2023
  • Bydown Street, Neutral Bay (between Yeo Street and Lindsay Street) on Sunday 7 May 2023
  • Paling Street, Cremorne on Sunday 21 May 2023
  • Cremorne Road, Cremorne Point (between Hodgson Avenue and Sirius Street) on Sunday 28 May 2023

Streets participating in the program will be temporarily closed to through traffic or have additional parking restrictions so that road space can be ‘opened for people’ (access to properties will be maintained at all times through formal traffic control).

Each street will be closed from 12pm to 5 pm.

North Sydney Council endorsed the selection of the streets at its meeting on 13 February 2023.
