Feedback closed 31 October 2022
Council seeks feedback on a concept plan for a storage facility which can hold 36 kayaks at Milson Park, Kirribilli where there is a boat ramp to access Sydney Harbour.
There is currently no small watercraft being stored on this site. Depending on interest and demand for storage space, there is potential to install more of these facilities in the future.
This project will provide small watercraft owners with fair access to storage space on public land on the foreshore of Milson Park, Kirribilli. As there is limited space, Council will ensure that all interested watercraft users have the opportunity to apply to become an authorised user of the new convenient, purpose-built storage facilities on the foreshore.
An appropriate design is proposed, that does not interfere with other park users, including access along the foreshore.
For further information, contact Alicja Batorowicz, Landscape Architect/Project Coordinator on 9936 8100.

Final report
this is an upcoming stage for Milson Park Kayak Storage
The post-exhibition report reported to the Council Meeting on 26 May 2023 - Item 10.10
Council resolved:
1. THAT Council install kayak storage at Milson Park subject to a feasibility study. 2. THAT the racks be positioned parallel to the stormwater drain, between the existing semi mature pine trees. 3. THAT the placement of the racks minimises the loss of useable open space while taking into consideration the safety and ease of use for kayakers. 4. THAT Council acknowledges that there will be less than 36 spaces (but not less than 26 spaces) and resolves to allocate 100% of the spaces to The Kayak Share Club and/or other shared use. 5. THAT a report come back to Council 18 months after installation. 6. THAT Council undertake an audit and review of the Wrixton Park storage at Willoughby Street to identify options for extra capacity
