Feedback closes 30 May 2025

At its meeting on 14 April 2025, Council resolved to endorse a new draft comprehensive Development Control Plan (DCP) to replace North Sydney DCP 2013 and place that draft on public exhibition.

The primary purpose for preparing a new comprehensive DCP is to enable Council’s existing DCP to be integrated into a future artificial intelligence (AI) platform for development assessment purposes. This draft DCP represents the first stage of this process and is generally limited to the restructure of North Sydney DCP 2013 and does not include any significant changes to Council’s currently endorsed policy positions.

The draft DCP will be on public exhibition from Thursday 1 May 2025 to Friday 30 May 2025 inclusive and may be viewed in the Document Library (on this page); at Council’s Customer Service Centre, 200 Miller Street, North Sydney, from 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays; and Stanton Library, 234 Miller Street, North Sydney, during opening hours.
