Initial Consultation: July/August 2019

Initial consultation occurred from 11 July to 8 August 2019. In response to the feedback received, the Northern CBD Planning Study was renamed to be Civic Precinct & Surrounds Planning Study.

Preliminary Community Principles that have been developed as a result of what you told us as part of the initial consultation:

• Heritage is conserved
• The Civic feel and “village character” of the precinct is respected
• Parks and public spaces are protected
• Access, safety and amenity of streets is improved
• The scale, design and impact of new development is carefully managed
• More opportunities for social interaction and activity are created
