The third Council Commission on the North Sydney Public Art Trail was installed in October 2019 in St Peters Park, opposite St Peter’s Presbyterian Church in North Sydney. A Rotunda for ‘Reflective Encounters’ is by Sydney based artist Damien Butler and consists of 80 Dichroic semi- mirrored angular glass panels which sit atop a polished stainless frame to form an immersive circular dome. The site-specific work offers views to the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, providing a place of both respite and reflection.

BACKGROUND
