UPDATE MAY 2021
Council undertook a second round of community consultation from 27 August 2020 to 27 September 2020 regarding the proposed raised pedestrian crossings as part of Stage 2. All proposals generally received strong support from the community and were subsequently approved by the Traffic Committee. The community engagement outcomes report can be viewed here.
In addition, Council received additional funding in 2020/21 from Transport for NSW under the Federal Stimulus Road Safety Program to complete sites 18C and 20.
Works on Stage 2 pedestrian crossings commenced in April 2021. Construction on all the pedestrian crossings is scheduled to be completed by 30 June 2021.
