Submission period extended to 21 March 2018

Council's Recreational Needs Study (2015) identified the need to "provide additional cricket practice nets for shared club and community use".

The NSROC Regional Sportsground Strategy (2011) also highlighted "the need for additional facilities such as cricket nets for training".

In response, Council determined locations for the provision of additional cricket nets, including Tunks Park, Primrose Park and St Leondards Park.

In regards to Primrose Park, at its meeting of 20 April 2015 Council resolved (Minute No. 106) to "proceed with Option 2 - construct two new cricket nets parallel to one another at Primrose Park (fully enclosed)". Prior to reporting to Council, the proposal was considered by Council's Sports and Recreations Reference Group at its meeting of 30 March 2015.

Detailed designs have been prepared - these can be viewed in the Document Library. Work will commence in April 2018.
