Alexander Street, Crows Nest - Proposed parking changes
Feedback closes 11 February 2025.
In response to concerns about limited parking availability, Council is considering a proposal to introduce 15minutes parking on Alexander Street.
The proposal is to change two (2) parking spaces currently marked as “2P Meter, 9:30am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, 8:30am-12:30pm Sat, Permit Holders Excepted Area 19” and “No Stopping, 6:30am-9:30am 3:30pm-6:30pm Mon-Fri” parking spaces to “1/4P, 9:30am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, 8:30am-12:30pm Sat” with “No Stopping, 6:30am-9:30am 3:30pm-6:30pm Mon-Fri”. By removing metered parking and Permit Holders Excepted Area restrictions and allowing 15-minute parking, the proposal aims to increase parking turnover and availability. Mobility parking permit holders would be able to park in these spaces for up to 30 minutes.
The proposed change is intended to facilitate short-term access to local businesses.
