Fitzroy and Jeffreys Street - Raised pedestrian crossings and footpath widening
Feedback closes 23 October 2024.
Council has received safety concerns about the pedestrians crossing at the intersection of Fitzroy Street and Jeffreys Street in Kirribilli.
In response to these concerns, Council is proposing to install two raised pedestrian crossings at the intersection. As part of the works, it is also proposed to remove a garden bed to increase the size of the pedestrian waiting area at the corner of Fitzroy Street and Broughton Street.
The proposed pedestrian crossings will improve pedestrian safety and reduce vehicle speeds. The footpath widening aims to create a wider pedestrian holding area at the intersection.
