Background

  • establish an overall vision for the Park; and
  • set out how the park will be used and managed for the next 5-10 years

A report entitled: Anderson Park and Tunks Park Masterplan/Plan of Management – Progress Update’was unanimously adopted on 27 August 2018. The report recommended that public exhibition of the draft Plan of Management/Masterplan for Tunks Park take place to give the community and other stakeholders a further opportunity to provide feedback on a more fully-realised vision for the Park.

The draft Plan of Management (PoM)/Masterplan for Tunks Park was on public exhibition for a 6-week period to receive feedback from the community and other stakeholders. Public exhibition concluded on 24 October 2018.

Nearly 200 submissions were received. Council’s Project Team reviewed all submissions and prepared a final report to Council, outlining the community’s responses to the draft Masterplan/Plan of Management, and the changes needed to finalise the document.
