Draft Tunks Park Plan of Management/Masterplan

Consultation has concluded

A combined Plan of Management/ Masterplan is being developed for Tunks Park to:

  • establish an overall vision for the Park; and
  • set out how the park will be used and managed for the next 5-10 years

Council is committed to involving the community in this project to ensure it is underpinned by broad-based community and stakeholder input. This will occur in various stages, see Project Details tab for further information.

A report entitled: ‘Anderson Park and Tunks Park Masterplan/Plan of Management – Progress Update’ was unanimously adopted on 27 August 2018. The report recommended that public exhibition of the draft Masterplan/Plan of Management for Tunks Park take place to give the community and other stakeholders a further opportunity to provide feedback on a more fully-realised vision for the Park.

  • Stage 5 (Finalisation of Tunks Park Masterplan/ Plan of Management) - upcoming

    Once the public exhibition and submission period has ended, Council’s Project Team will review all submissions. A final report to Council will then be prepared, outlining the community’s responses to the draft Masterplan/ Plan of Management, and the changes it is therefore planned to make to finalise the document. Following adoption by Council, the Consultants will amend the draft Masterplan/ Plan of Management to produce a Final Masterplan/ Plan of Management for Tunks Park.

    Once the public exhibition and submission period has ended, Council’s Project Team will review all submissions. A final report to Council will then be prepared, outlining the community’s responses to the draft Masterplan/ Plan of Management, and the changes it is therefore planned to make to finalise the document. Following adoption by Council, the Consultants will amend the draft Masterplan/ Plan of Management to produce a Final Masterplan/ Plan of Management for Tunks Park.
