Amended Compliance and Enforcement Policy
Feedback closes Tuesday 22 April 2025
On 10 March 2025, Council endorsed the public exhibition and consultation period for the draft Compliance and Enforcement Policy for a minimum of 28 days.
Feedback is sought on the draft Compliance and Enforcement Policy. The key updates within the draft Policy are outlined as follows:
- The structure and layout of the draft Policy have been updated to align with the NSW Ombudsman’s Compliance and Enforcement Guidelines.
- Minor amendments have been made to reference and reflect current legislation.
- The draft Policy remains consistent with the existing Policy.
- There are no changes to how Council officers investigate or act on compliance matters.
- The draft Policy ensures that minimum standards are met and maintained for officers involved in compliance enforcement and resolution.
