Consultation has concluded

On 26 August 2019 Council resolved to public exhibit the revised Draft Bushland Rehabilitation Plans for six weeks (42 days).

The revised Bushland Rehabilitation Plan 2019-2029 will guide the ongoing conservation and rehabilitation of Council's bushland reserves, native species and biodiversity for the next decade.

Bushland Rehabilitation Plans are developed for each applicable reserve and can be viewed as standalone ‘chapters’. They have been written for both technical and non-technical readers. They are 10-year plans with provision for adaptive management and a formal review at 5 years.

The draft plans are available in the document library. Hard copies can be viewed at Council’s Customer Service and Stanton Library during opening hours.

Background

In 1995, North Sydney Council adopted a generic Plan of Management for all Bushland Reserves which considered the broad issues involved and suggested processes to overcome and manage any threats. The Bushland Plan of Management is periodically updated and sits above the draft Bushland Rehabilitation Plan 2019-2029.
