Bradfield Park South Upgrade

Background

In 1998 Council adopted the Bradfield Park and Kirribilli Foreshore Master Plan. The Masterplan (see document library) emphasises the regional significance of the foreshore area and the importance of improving pedestrian access along the foreshore. To view works completed to date click here.

What's proposed?

In its 2017/18 budget Council allocated money for the investigations, consultation and design of open space areas located adjacent to Jeffrey Street Wharf and southern section of Bradfield Park located along the Harbour Foreshore.

The main objectives of this project are based on those developed for the Bradfield Park and Kirribilli Foreshore Master Plan:

  • To upgrade the visual quality of the harbour foreshore
  • To improve access and circulation along the foreshore
  • To enhance opportunities to view harbour events
  • To protect and celebrate the areas rich heritage
  • To reduce the impact of existing traffic infrastructure
