Consultation has concluded

Stage 1 feedback closes 11.59pm, Sunday 15 January 2023 (extended)

We are updating the North Sydney Arts & Cultural Strategic Plan and need your input to ensure the new plan is tailored to local arts and cultural needs. The first stage of engagement seeks to identify new and reaffirm current priorities.

The current North Sydney Arts & Cultural Strategic Plan outlines Council’s current arts and cultural service levels centered around three focus areas:

  • provide creative spaces and opportunities
  • enable creative expression and cultural experiences
  • support diversity and inclusiveness

Planning for the continuing growth of North Sydney’s arts and cultural programs and infrastructure is critical, based on a significant increase in housing targets and employment over the ensuing years, and community priorities as identified through other consultations.

We are committed to supporting the growth and diversity of arts and cultural activities and expressions in ways that respond to identifiable needs which benefit the community, businesses and visitors to the area.

INTERVIEWS

We invite creative practitioners, groups and businesses to meet with us (for an in person chat or online meeting) to help us to better understand the values, issues and aspirations of our creative sector and uncover untapped opportunities. These conversations will help us shape the revised plan.
