Exhibition is now closed

The Military Road Corridor Planning Study - Stage 1, is being prepared to plan for future development, community facilities and public domain improvements in Neutral Bay Town Centre.

Council seeks to ensure that any future development is carefully managed and complemented by public benefits that improve the safety, amenity, services and overall appeal of the area.

Two discussion papers that form part of a broader planning study were exhibited from 8 August - 9 September 2019:

  • Objectives & Ideas Paper - discusses what could happen in the centre based on various growth options.
  • Analysis Paper - presents the policy context, background research and an impact assessment ofthe growth options

The discussion papers and a summary brochure are available in the document library.

NEXT STEPS

A preferred outcome will be developed in the draft Future Direction Paper, the third and final document of the draft Planning Study. The Future Direction Paper will be reported to Council to consider endorsement for public exhibition. At the end of the exhibition period a report will be prepared for Council’s consideration accounting for submissions made and any resulting amendments to the Planning Study.

For further information, contact Tomas van der Meer of Council’s Strategic Planning Department on 9936 8100.
