Grosvenor Lane Shared Zone

North Sydney Council will be undertaking public domain improvements to Grosvenor Lane in Neutral Bay between Ben Boyd Road and Young Street. The proposal will see the laneway upgraded to a shared zone including new paving, furniture, planting and night time safety improvements to bring the lane up to current lighting codes.

Note, Council is limited in design opportunities which are informed by:

  • North Sydney Council’s Public Domain Style Manual which outlines materials and finishes,
  • Layout and general design principals are governed by the RMS shared zone technical direction and traffic movements,
  • Plant species will be selected by Council’s Parks and Reserves team who know best what will survive, and
  • There is no budget for public art or decorative lighting
