North Sydney Council is proud to be supporting the 2023 Australian Liveability Census.
This nation-wide research project will help us understand liveability from you, our community's perspective - and see how we are faring compared to the rest of the country. Everyone deserves to live in a community that reflects their values and needs. That's why it's important for everyone to have their say in the 2023 Australian Liveability Census. The insights collected include what matters most to you, how your current neighbourhoods are performing and your ideas for improvements. Our local area can then be compared to others near and far!
No matter your background, age, or lifestyle, your opinions and experiences are valuable in shaping the future of our communities. Whether it's access to public transportation, quality healthcare, or cultural diversity, your voice will help us understand community priorities and feed into national trends.
The Australian Liveability Census is open from 26 March to 30 June 2023 and all participants will have the chance to win on of 50 x $100 vouchers.
In 2021, North Sydney local government area (LGA) achieved one of highest response rates Australia-wide - we established a sound baseline.
We encourage all residents in the North Sydney LGA to complete the 2023 survey.
Council will use the Census data to inform the next North Sydney Community Strategic Plan and business planning.
